About the event
In the premier episode of “Concussion Discussion,” Jodi Radosh, Ph.D. will speak with Dr. Anthony Kontos about his professional work with concussions. Jodi is a former Pennsylvania news reporter, professor at Alvernia University, and has personally experienced two major concussion - the first in 2013 and the second more recently in 2017. She runs a concussion support group which she founded in Berks County Pennsylvania.
In his soon to be released book Concussion: A Clinical Profile Approach to Assessment and Treatment, Dr. Kontos and coauthor Michael Collins explain that concussions are not one-size-fits-all. They state that individuals who experience concussion respond best to targeted interventions based on their specific symptoms and impairment while involving an interdisciplinary team. The book pays special attention to at-risk populations such as athletes, military, and youth.
